Nenjiang Bay was formed because of a natural turn of the Nenjiang River which starts in the Greater Khingan Mountains and runs from north to south.

The park, covering 36.5 sq km, has intensive moors and rich water plant types which attract rare birds and fish. There are more than 30 restaurants on the bank of the lakes and over 50 water amusement facilities including pavilions and drawbridges.

Visitors can go fishing and swimming here in summer and appreciate the fascinating scenery of rime in winter.
