Macao and Doumen embrace tourism package

Doumen District of Zhuhai and nearby Macao have agreed to partner in offering discounted tickets to key scenic spots, launching joint travel routes, and sharing tourists. 

A conference promoting the district to Macao travel agencies was held at Yu Wen Quan Imperial Hot Springs on April 10. Buildup of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and opening of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge were said to bring opportunities. Furthermore, Doumen's pristine natural environment, folk customs, and culinary delicacies, were featured in a video.

Executives of Yu Wen Quan, Yifeng Ecological Health Care Park, Shili Lianjiang Scenic Spot, Nan'ao Holiday Resort, and Zhuzhou Water Conservancy Scenic Spot gave presentations. 

After the conference, representatives of China International Travel Service (Macao), Hong Thai Travel Services (Macao), and Multinational Youth Travel Agency signed agreements with Doumen travel agencies, scenic spots, and hotels to promote travel routes in 2018.

According to Gan Zihong, director of the Doumen Tourism Bureau, they will strengthen cooperation and exchange to transform and upgrade the industry. Leapfrog development will see the sharing of resources, joint travel routes, and mutual tourism products.

Through communication and cooperation, Macao will reap huge benefits from Doumen's abundant tourism resources, previously undisclosed to them, said a senior marketing manager of Hong Thai Travel Services (Macao). There are broad prospects for this partnership, it was added.

The agent cited the attractive countryside as a great destination for family trips and farmland entertainment.
