Tianjin Third Central Hospital

Founded in 1957，Tianjin Third Central Hospital is a Grade Three Class A hospital that integrates medical services, teaching, scientific research and disease prevention and specializes in hepatobiliary diseases. It is a medical center, the Clinical College of Tianjin Medical University and the affiliated hospital of Nankai University.

It is home to a research center for artificial cell engineering technology, a municipal artificial cell key lab, a research center for ventilator therapy, a clinical nutrition center, a stroke screening and prevention and control engineering base, a national standardization training base for resident doctors, a clinical practice skills training center of Tianjin and a cardiovascular emergency training center authorized by the American Heart Association.

Covering an area of 79,000 sq m, the hospital has a floorage of 113,000 sq m and 1,600 beds. It has 43 clinical and medical technology departments and 2,747 employees.

On staff are 309 associate chief physicians and chief physicians, 347 holders of master's and doctoral degrees; 16 of whom are recipients of the special government allowance from the State Council, two experts with outstanding contributions identified by the then Ministry of Personnel, two experts identified by the municipal government, three experts listed in the "National 100-1000-10000 Talent Program", and other 14 experts listed in the "131 Talent Program".
