Apricot tourism festival opens in Tumd Right Banner

Dayantan, a scenic area located in Tumd Right Banner, a banner under Baotou’s administration, attracted tourists from the Hohhot-Baotou-Ordos area with an apricot-themed tourism festival opening on April 4, reports Baotou Daily.

The apricot blossoms, now in full bloom, cover an area of 533 hectares and contrast strongly with the green hills in the area.

The 17-day festival will have 20 activities in eight categories including local specialty promotions, hot air balloon rides and local snack fairs.

In order to incentivize the region’s tourism industry, a series of folk tours have been launched in addition to regular tourism routes in Dayantan. B&B stays have also been added to tour plans.
