Dating back to 1928, Dongsheng No 1 Primary School is one of the earliest schools founded in Ordos.
It covers an area of 12,749 square meters, and has 94 faculty members and 1,963 students.
In 2007, the school was recognized as an excellent primary school by the local education authority.
