Delegations from 20 countries along the Belt and Road region visited Deqing county in Zhejiang province on March 31, seeking exchanges and cooperation in areas such as economics, trade and culture.

A cultural activity was held at the main hall of Antex (Deqing) Fashion Co Ltd, a textile manufacturer in Deqing, to extend a warm welcome to foreign guests, which included 33 trainees from an advanced training program related to the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), as well as over 40 international students from Europe, South America and Asia.

Performances by people from different countries were presented to attendees.

According to the organizer of the visit, cultural activities are just as important as economic exchanges when developing the Belt and Road Initiative.

It was announced that approximately 60 young Ethiopian delegates will work at Antex for over three months to learn about the company's advanced manufacturing technology.

Since the Belt and Road Initiative was proposed in 2013, many countries have benefitted from cooperation with China. In the future, more cultural, academic, and talent exchanges will be carried out to lay the foundations for stronger cooperation between countries.
