Beihua University

Beihua University, the largest in Jilin province, is a key provincial comprehensive university. In 1999, the Ministry of Education approved the creation of Beihua University by uniting the former Jilin Teacher's College, Jilin Medical College, Jilin Forestry College, and Jilin Junior College of Electrification. It is located in Jilin city and has three campuses and an affiliated hospital. It covers a total area of 2.68 million sq m.

The university has 29 schools and an engineering training center. Eighty-three bachelor degree and 23 master’s degree subjects are offered here. The university has also presided over 58 national research programs in the past five years.

Beihua University has 25,684 full-time students, 716 of whom are foreigners.
