Zhongyang Dajie (Central Avenue)

Construction of Central Avenue began in 1896, as part of the original town built by Russians. It is now located in Daoli district of Harbin city. Walking on Central Avenue, one can feel the strong exotic atmosphere from the various styles and splendid buildings, even if you know nothing about western architecture. Along the street are shopping malls such as the Euro Plaza, Parksons, and Lane Crawford that carry international brands. There are also many old brands selling local and Russian specialties. A Wal-Mart is located at the end of the street, just near the Songhua River.
