Baotou selects candidates for World Skills Competition

The 45th Worlds Skills Competition (Baotou division) began in Baotou, North China’s Inner Mongolia autonomous region, on March 17, reports Baotou Evening News.

The competition, co-hosted by the human resources and social security bureau, the education bureau, and the finance bureau of Baotou, attracted participation from some 100 students from vocational schools and business employees.

A total of 22 competitions were held including graphic design techniques, website design, automotive engineering, CAD machine design and mechatronics.

Winners will have the chance to participate in the qualifying trials for Inner Mongolia autonomous region division to be held at the end of March.

Organized by WorldSkills, the World Skills Competition is held every two years and is one of the biggest vocational education and skills events in the world. It provides an opportunity for participants to display vocational skills and for leaders in industry, government and education to exchange information and best practices regarding industrial and professional education.
