Zhuhai (Jinwan) Airport has further amended its recently announced summer-autumn flight schedule with the resumption of certain flights, new destinations, and tighter timetables.

Handling capability will be increased to meet surging travel demands beginning March 25.

Specifically, flights will be reinstated to Hohhot of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, Taiyuan of Shanxi, Ningbo of Zhejiang, Yantai of Shandong, Yangzhou of Jiangsu, and Jieyang of Guangdong provinces.

In the meantime, the airport will open routes to Mianyang in Sichuan, Changde and Hengyang in Hunan, Luoyang in Henan, and Lijiang in Yunnan provinces. Flights to Yinchuan of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, Maotai Town of Guizhou, Wuyi Mt in Fujian, Xuzhou in Jiangsu, and Meizhou in Guangdong will, however, be canceled.

Nonetheless, more flights are scheduled to Wuxi, Liuzhou-Chongqing, Chengdu, Kunming, Changsha-Wuxi, and Nanchang-Lanzhou.

According to the summer-autumn timetable, there will be up to 13 Shanghai, nine Beijing, eight Hangzhou of Zhejiang and Xi'an of Shaanxi, seven Chongqing and Harbin of Heilongjiang, and six Chengdu of Sichuan, Hefei of Anhui, and Jinan of Shandong flights daily.

By the season's start, 239 flights will occur weekly, a leveling off from the Spring Festival travel rush, according to an airport executive. This, it was said, will offer more travel options while reducing ticket prices due to a sound supply demand relationship.
