Hu Henghua meets with FTF Vice President Alain Morrow

Hu Henghua, Party secretary of Changsha Municipal Committee, met with French Tennis Federation (FTF) Vice President Alain Morrow on Mar 5 for a tennis park program at Changsha's Moon Island.

Hu, also a member of the Standing Committee of Hunan Provincial Committee, expected the program to enhance exchange and cooperation between Changsha and the FTF. He added that the French Open enjoys a high reputation around the world and is very popular among Chinese people. Moreover, tennis is also gaining popularity in Changsha.

He said the Changsha municipal government will spare no effort to support the construction of the tennis program and set a good example of cooperation in sports and culture between China and France.

Alain Morrow said that Changsha is famous for its rich culture and sport programs are thriving in the city. He hoped the Moon Island program will stimulate the development of tennis in Changsha, perhaps leading to tennis training for youth and tournaments. He also expected more residents to have the chance to take part in this charming sport.
