Zhuhai High-Speed Passenger Ferry trips between the city and Shenzhen will double in number starting a day or two before the peak Spring Festival travel period of Feb 15-21. During the same period, sailings to Hong Kong will be increased as needed.

Liner frequency from Jiuzhou Ferry Terminal in Jida to the Shenzhen port of Shekou will be cut from 30 to 15 minutes with more boats added accordingly. Last year, for instance, Jiuzhou provided 199 additional ferries and saw a 20 percent increase in the number of tourists on lines to Shekou and the Zhuhai islands during the seven-day Lunar New Year holiday.

Adjustments to the schedule will also be made to satisfy the number of people making short trips and visiting families in Hong Kong.

Furthermore, emergency drills and check-and-repair operations have been conducted to ensure the navigability of the all company vessels. Zhuhai High-Speed Passenger Ferry, a subsidiary of Jiuzhou Holdings Group, has been designated as a "Safe & Trustworthy Company" by the China Maritime Safety Administration for 10 consecutive years.
