According to a news report published on Pudong's website on Jan 18, an exhibition called Miracle: The Bellini Family and the Renaissance was held at the Shanghai Himalayas Museum, attracting a great many visitors.

The special exhibition has sparked a lot of enthusiasm for the Renaissance in Pudong.

Works on display at the exhibition include a sculpture by Michelangelo, Raphael's Self-portrait, the Mona Lisa, and other exhibits that tell the history of the Renaissance. The exhibits mainly come from Italy's Bellini Museum and Museo Ideale Leonardo da Vinci.

One of the main reasons for the exhibition's high popularity is that it serves an educational purpose. For example, schools and universities can hold cultural activities at the museum, allowing students to obtain a deeper understanding of culture and history.

In addition, visitors can scan QR codes next to the exhibits to get illustrations of the artworks on their phones.

The exhibition also offers a glimpse of the furniture used in Italy over six hundred years ago, such as beds, cradles, and cabinets. This allows the audience to imagine what life was like in ancient Europe.

The Shanghai Himalayas Museum will collaborate with the Napoleon Foundation to arrange a special exhibition this September to tell the story of Napoleon, a French statesman and military leader who rose to prominence during the French Revolution and led several successful campaigns during the French Revolutionary Wars.

According to Ma Zhenzheng, director of the exhibition, this is the first time that artworks by the three iconic figures of the Renaissance have come to China, sparing Chinese art lovers the trouble of travelling overseas to view the famous works.

He also said that the Himalayas Museum is making efforts to organize more high-quality exhibitions in the future to enrich the cultural life of the public.
