Roaming Mongolians settled in Hulunbuir, Inner Mongolia autonomous region on Dec 23 to host a winter Nadam fair, celebrating local nomadic culture and grassland traditions.

A Nadam (Mongolian for "entertainment" or "recreation") fair is a mass traditional Mongolian festival filled with festive wardrobe, lively music, and competitive sports events, including horse and camel racing.

In recent years, Inner Mongolia has been promoting its winter tourism through fairs such as these and through ice and snow carnivals, giving tourists the unique opportunity to experience life on the prairie.
