FAW Jiefang listed as most innovative automobile brand

FAW Jiefang, an automobile giant in China, was listed as No.1 innovative Chinese automobile manufacturer (for trucks) at the recent first China Automotive Innovation Conference. The Automobile Innovation Index (AII), an index to evaluate Chinese automobile manufacturers' innovation capabilities, was launched at the conference.

The index is jointly compiled by more than 30 authoritative organizations and institutes such as the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, the Society of Automotive Engineers of China and the Tsinghua Automotive Strategy Research Institute.

It is based on companies' innovation input, value output and technological structure, reflecting their innovation ability. In term of trucks, FAW Jiefang is at the top of the list with 79.5 points.

In recent years, implementing its technology-driven strategy, FAW Jiefang has continued to introduce new technologies, techniques and products, becoming a market sales leader.

It now has many self-made and self-owned core technologies and has set some world standards for the industry. Its SSCR technology for tail gas treatment, for example, this year reached the state-of-the-art level.
