Fertilizer advances needed to improve grain output and quality

Reducing fertilizer usage and improving its efficiency are significant in increasing China's grain output and quality, according remarks made by Tian Geng, general manager of Woyijia Ecological Agriculture, at an ecology-themed conference on Dec 16.

The Gengtianle 2017-2018 Summit, Beijing sub conference, was held at the Agricultural Information Institute of Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences. The conference focused on methods to promote the ecological construction in China.

At the conference, Tian analyzed the current situation of China's agriculture problems including underdeveloped fertilizing technology and the overuse of fertilizers.

He said such problems restrict the healthy growth of modernized agriculture in the country.

Tian also expressed his company's intention to explore innovative and technological planting methods to improve China's farmland quality. Gengtianle, an ecological fertilizer produced by Woyijia Ecological Agriculture, is an example of the company's focus.

The company is devoted to cooperating with agricultural institutes and colleges to promote high-efficiency plantation technologies to help improve grain output and quality.
