Feicheng Emerging Industry Development Zone

I. Introduction:

The development zone would introduce strategic new technology sectors, gathering advantage resources, to upgrade industrial capacity and investments and build high-speed growth area of economy, emerging industrial area and demonstration area for scientific development.

II. Goal: The Feicheng Emerging Industry Development Zone (肥城市新兴产业开发区) started in 2011. It has introduced five to ten emerging industry projects. The zone would be a new growth area of economyin three to five years.

It is to establish several funtional sectors: a healthcare industry park including medical research and development, hospitals, medical treatment and healthcare for the elderly; a carbon nanomaterials industry park; an economic headquater for investment attraction and planning; a business logistics center; an ecotourism area; science and technology incubators; service centers for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and e-commerce.

III. Scope:

The zone will merge into Tai'an through quick passage.

Preliminary planning and construction range covers south of Tailin Road, north of Qinglan Road, west of Chaowen Road and east of Jiyan Road with planned area of 22 square kilometers. Yiyang Industrial Park, Agriculture Demonstration of Modern Agriculture, Taishan Botanic Garden and Yiwu International Business City will be included.

IV. Projects:

The zone would introduce industries such as new energy, new materials, new information, biomedicine, energy saving and environmental protection and new digital equipment.

It would focus on cultivating leading backbone enterprises to form industrial clusters with strong radiation driving effects, comprehensive integration and efficient use.
