Inner Mongolia E-Commerce Industrial Park (内蒙古电子商务产业园) is located in Hohhot Economic and Technological Development Zone with a total planned area of 3.37 square kilometers. The park’s infrastructure has been completed, including offices, communications and logistics. Supporting policies are also in place.
The park has built two office buildings, an apartment building and two standardized factories, covering a total construction area of 41,400 square meters.
Meanwhile, China’s two major communications operators, China Mobile and China Unicom, have set up internet data centers (IDC) in the park.
The park also has three professional e-commerce logistics and distribution warehouses with total storage of 13,000 square meters.
In 2014, the park’s total e-commerce transaction volume reached 3.54 billion yuan ($536 million). Out of that, B2B trade volume of industrial products accounted for 2.28 billion yuan.
By May 2015, 69 e-commerce related enterprises, two e-commerce industry associations and 11 strategic cooperation units had settled in the park.
Among them are traditional industrial businesses, emerging e-commerce enterprises and supporting service companies, covering online sales of industrial products, dairy products and grassland specialty products, as well as services, such as internet finance, internet media, online housekeeping and intelligent property management.
