Tongliao Economic and Technological Development Zone (内蒙古通辽经济技术开发区) is a provincial-level development zone that was approved to be established by the government of Inner Mongolia autonomous region in September 2001.

The zone was authorized to manage one town and four sub-district administrative offices, with a population of 180,000 and an area of 420 square kilometers.

In 2016, its GDP hit 18.06 billion yuan ($2.73 billion). Fiscal revenue, fixed-asset investment and total retail sales of consumer goods reached 1.74 billion yuan, 13.35 billion yuan and 5.53 billion yuan respectively. The urban and rural residents' per capita disposable income amounted to 30,825 yuan and 16,171 yuan.

The zone now has 83 industrial enterprises above the designated size (annual revenue of at least 20 million yuan), forming four 10-billion-yuan industrial clusters for new coal chemical industry, high-tech equipment manufacturing, bio-technology, and green agricultural and livestock products.

In addition, the zone has built six logistics industrial parks covering coal, building materials, auto parts trading, agricultural materials, agricultural machinery and agricultural products, as well as an inland port and a bonded logistics center.
