Changsha National Economic and Technical Development Zone

Changsha National Economic and Technical Development Zone (CETDZ) was founded in the suburb of Xingsha in Changsha in 1992. In April 1997, it was approved by the Ministry of Science and Technology as Changsha National Economic and Technical Development Zone Xingsha Hi-tech Industrial Park and approved by the State Council in February 2000 as a national level economic and technical development zone under direct leadership of the Ministry of Commerce. 

CETDZ has been insisting on providing highly efficient and quality services to investors. It was awarded as the first Demonstration Zone and Evaluation Point for Optimized Economic Development Environment in Hunan province.

The unique location, good infrastructure, quality services and favorable policies of CETDZ have made the zone an attractive place for famous Chinese and multinational companies in Hunan. Fortune 500 companies including LG, Philips, Danone, Mitsubishi, Nissho Iwai, Coca Cola, Pepsi, Bosch, Electrolux and NEC, have invested here. Famous domestic companies, including Sany Heavy Industry, Foton, Changfeng Motors, Broad Air Conditioning, Golden Shine Color Printing, Sunward and Lyrun New Materials, are also located here and are developing rapidly. 

After being promoted to a national development zone, CETDZ has maintained a 40 percent increase every year and is developing rapidly. Its annual industrial output accounts for one third of the total industrial output value of Changsha, and import and export values account for half of the total imports and exports of Changsha. An industrial output value of 3.5 billion yuan ($531.1 million) and revenues of 180 million yuan are realized on every square kilometer of land, and the unit land output ratio is the highest of the central and west China regions. CETDZ's investment environment ranks second among all national development zones in the central and west regions. CETDZ won honors of Changsha’s Industrial Benchmark in Hunan province.
