Moon Lake

Moon Lake is situated in the hinterland of Tengger Desert, Alshaa League. It is 70 kilometers southwest of Bayanhot town. Moon Lake is a natural freshwater lake that looks like a crescent moon when seen from the west, and resembles a map of China when seen from the east.

The scenic spot consists of five sections: a folk cultural area, an entertainment area, an accommodation area, an ecological demonstration area and an outdoor activities area. Visitors can enjoy sand surfing, swimming, riding horses and camels, black sand health care, as well as sand volleyball and football. It also provides all-round services for conferences. It was designated a national 4A-level scenic spot in 2005.
