In 2012, "Management and Service Standards of the Meetings Industry, Part I: Conference Organizers" (DB31/T636.1-2012), the first set of regional standards in China’s meetings service industry, was officially released. Based on the evaluation of the M.I.C.E. Service Standards Technical Committee and subject to the approval of Shanghai Municipal Tourism Administration, 13 companies are entitled Shanghai’s first "Conference Organizers in Compliance with Management & Service Standards of the Meetings Industry" in 2014.

Following the release of the first list of "Conference Organizers in Compliance with Management & Service Standards of the Meetings Industry" in January 2015, the second list came to light on July 6, 2016. Four meeting operations and service organizations passed the operations and service standards compliance assessment and was, with the approval from Shanghai Municipal Tourism Administration, accredited accordingly by the MICE Specialization Committee under Shanghai Municipal Tourism Standardization Technical Committee.
