Biotechnology and modern pharmaceutical industry

As one of the fastest growing hi-tech industries in Tianjin, the biotechnology and modern pharmaceutical industry contains over 500 biomedical R&D companies and 157 pharmaceutical companies, including 36 foreign investment enterprises. The Beijing-Tianjin-Heibei biomedical industrialization model zone has been built in Tianjin Economic - Technological Development Area (TEDA). So far the model zone has formed a complete biomedical industry chain combining product R&D, technology converting, manufacture, commercial logistics, and exhibition and communication.
