New energy resources and materials industry

As a national new energy resources industry's base, Tianjin has fostered a new industrial structure coordinating major fields of green battery, solar energy battery, and wind power generation. A production capacity of 600 million lithium-ion batteries, 300 million nickel metal hydride batteries, 100 megawatt photo-voltaic batteries, and 5600 mW wind power generators have been developed; and the R&D and manufacturing capacity of membrane, advanced ceramic, silicon and titanium materials are taking lead in China, making the area an important production base of green resources and wind power generation equipment.
