Shenzhen Safari Park

Shenzhen safari park is the first civil project to be built by private enterprises. It is located at beautiful Xili Lake on 640,000 sq m. Its total investment was 250 million yuan($37.96 million).

The park opened to the public in 1993 and at that time was a subtropical ecological scenic spot with a zoo, botanical garden and popularization garden. It was awarded by the State Council as the first open range zoo in China.

Beautiful scenery is everywhere in the park. There are mountains in the north, more than thirty animal sculptures in the south, litchi woods in the east and Xili Lake in the west. More than 300 species of animals live there.
