World specialists share medical knowhow in Zhuhai

The 12th International Congress of the Chinese Orthopedic Association (COA) is bringing to Zhuhai the latest technologies in treating trauma, joints, spine, ankles, osteoporosis, orthopedic rehabilitation, child orthopedics, and bone tumors, plus advances in arthroscopy and sports medicine.

Forums cover international orthopedics, academicians, young and middle-aged orthopedists, and Chinese and Western orthopedic robots.

The Nov 15-18 conference is well under way at the Zhuhai International Convention & Exhibition Center in Shizimen Central Business District of Hengqin New Area.

The largest orthopedics academic gathering with international influence in China has been held in Beijing, Zhengzhou, Suzhou, Xiamen, and Chengdu, and now in Zhuhai with the number of participants growing each time. More than 20,000 orthopedic experts and scholars from over 65 countries and regions are currently participating.

According to Fu Rui, general manager of the convention center, this year's congress is expected to receive a record 30,000 visitors. More than 7,800 beds in 21 Zhuhai hotels were booked and over 240 shuttles assigned.

Considering the scale and complexity of the event, the International Convention & Exhibition Center has a practiced strategy covering conference, operations, security, internet, and catering.

Relying on world-class facilities and professional services, the center previously hosted the Annual Congress of the Chinese Society of Nephrology, 21st Annual Meeting of the Chinese Pediatric Society, and 11th Annual Conference of China Hospital CEOs.
