During the first three quarters of this year, Inner Mongolia autonomous region helped 44,600 people find employment, achieving 89.15 percent of the annual target, according to the region’s human resources and social security department on Nov 8.

Faced with an expanding workforce, Inner Mongolia has been taking active measures to help people struggling to find work, especially “4050” personnel (women over 40 years old and men over 55), members of households where nobody works, and urban residents who do not own land.

The region has established a real-name dynamic management mechanism for urban unemployed residents, providing assistance to those who receive subsistence allowances or who have not been in work for more than one year. The region also gives priority to the hiring of unemployed people who meet a job’s requirements, and provides them with social insurance subsidies and additional income top-ups.
