Baotou high-tech district sees GDP growth

Baotou Rare Earth High-Tech Industrial Development Zone maintained steady economic growth during the first three quarters of 2017, with its GDP totaling 29.89 billion yuan ($4.5 billion), according to a Nov 6 Baotou Daily report.

The figure represented year-on-year growth of 6.9 percent.

The added value of primary industry hit 192 million yuan, year-on-year growth of 3.3 percent. The added value of secondary industry achieved year-on-year growth of 7.1 percent and stood at 20.66 billion yuan. The added value of tertiary industry reached 9.04 billion yuan, representing year-on-year growth of 6.5 percent.
