Ulger performed in Inner Mongolia

Folk artists in an Ulger troupe from Jarud Banner of Tongliao, Inner Mongolia autonomous region, tell traditional stories -- or “Ulger” -- in a village on Oct 30, to promote the spirit of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China to local residents. Ulger, or Mongolian storytelling, is mostly popular among the Horqin tribe in the eastern region of Inner Mongolia, and was listed as one of the first national intangible cultural heritage items in 2006.
