The curtain was raised on the 2017 Russia-China Culture Week in Moscow, Russia, on Oct 23 local time.

The event is intended to promote traditional Chinese culture and especially that of Jilin to the rest of the world.

During this year's event, participants will be able to enjoy an intangible cultural heritage gallery and learn skills for making traditional Chinese art-wares. They might also view films about the province produced right at home in Jilin.

At the opening ceremony, a Jilin delegate said Jilin is one of the Chinese provinces that share a border with Russia, explaining why more cultural activities have been organized in recent years between the two countries.

Cultural Week performances and exhibitions will be held in Moscow, St.Petersburg, Khabarovsk and Vladivostok.

Various kinds of traditional Jilin art forms including dances, folk music and TV dramas, as well as some other traditional Chinese performances, will be staged.

A Russian delegate said that the demonstration of traditional Jilin culture during the activity will promote it among Russian people and will help build a close relationship between the two neighbors.
