A JD.com unmanned convenience store will be in operation before "Double 11" , or Nov 11, an online shopping festival in China.

Artificial intelligence, big data, biometric recognition and IOT (Internet of things) are the key technologies of unmanned convenience stores.

People should electronically secure their identity information and payment information when they first enter the store. During the shopping and payment process, the store uses radio frequency identification devices (RFID), facial recognition, and image recognition to ensure a smooth shopping experience.

Unmanned convenience stores will eventually settle in nationwide. Goods will be different in different locations such as office buildings, business circles, communities and schools.

The "Zhuge·zhixiang" intelligent supply chain platform of JD.com will help merchants predict consumer demands, replenishment supplies and schedule production.

JD.com will continue to communicate with manufacturers and logistic carriers to ensure the quality of goods.
