2017 CIOPE opens in Tianjin

The 2017 China (Tianjin) International Offshore Engineering Equipment & Port Machinery Exposition (CIOPE) and China Marine Economy Innovative Development Forum, was held in the Tianjin Meijiang International Convention and Exhibition Center on Oct 19.

It was hosted by the government of Binhai New Area in Tianjin, the Tianjin Oceanic Administration and the Tianjin Harbor Economic Area Administrative Committee.

With a theme of "Building the World's Offshore Engineering Bases, Expanding Offshore Engineering Equipment Trade, Driving Marine Science and Technology Development, and Improving Marine Ecological Civilization", CIOPE focuses on reflecting the developing trends of the offshore engineering equipment and port machinery industry, especially in showcasing large equipment, devices, materials and the latest technologies.

The exhibition has pavilions for offshore engineering equipment, port machinery, offshore engineering supporting equipment, sea water desalination, unmanned aerial vehicles, underwater robots, new marine materials and advanced manufacturing in China and Europe.

On Oct 19, the signing ceremony of the Tianjin Harbor Economic Area High-end Equipment project was held in the Tianjin Meijiang International Convention and Exhibition Center. More than ten enterprises will settle in industrial bases in the Tianjin Harbor Economic Area, with the total investment amount of 13.9 billion yuan ($2.10 billion).
