Changchun Nanxi Wetland Park opened to the public on Sept 30. It covers 3.1 million sq m, and includes areas for dining, games and sightseeing.

The Changbai culture zone, an exhibition area for cultural industries, is an important part of the Nanxi Wetland Park.

The zone has four pavilions, named Hanxiang, Hanwu, Shuiyue and Jinchuan. All of them are in ancient style.

The tourist service center is a two-tier building with a glass curtain wall, located at the crossing of South Fourth Ring Road and Caixia Street. It is the hub of the zone's electric power system, and a rest area for tourists.

The highest building in the park is the Guangying Tower, located above Yanyi Island.

The Guangying Tower is 27.9 meters high, and the landmark building in the wetland park.

A steel bridge also has the name Guangying. The Guangying Bridge is 655 meters long, 5 meters wide, and is only for pedestrians.

After crossing it tourists can enter the park from the west bank of Yitong River.

Another mission for the Nanxi Wetland Park is to buffer and purify water from the head of the Yitong River, taking on the function of a sponge city.
