A logistics center wholly-owned by Transfar Group was completed in Baotou, Inner Mongolia autonomous region, on Sept 28, marking the company’s first city logistics center in North China, reports Baotou Daily.

Lu Zhi, deputy mayor of Baotou, attended the launch ceremony held the same day.

The logistics center in Baotou, along with logistics centers in cities across North China, will form the largest cargo distribution center utilizing road, rail and sea in North China.

It will facilitate imports and exports and help the city access the global market.

Founded in 1986, Transfar Group is a Hangzhou-based company focusing on areas including the chemical industry, logistics, agriculture, and investment. The company now boasts logistics centers in more than 90 Chinese cities.
