White-hot motor competition ceased at Zhuhai International Circuit (ZIC) as the Sept 17 Pan Delta Super Racing Festival (Autumn Race) climaxed with a chaotic battle at Circuit Hero-Drift after the first day's one-car show at Steeplechase.
A technical error by Indonesian Emmanuelle Amando in a Toyota Aristo was a golden opportunity for others at the track in Tangjiawan. Italian Federico Sceritto then claimed the title by besting Aussie Jake Jones.
Sceritto said it was a tough week that brought together many excellent racers and he was looking forward to entering again next year.
As the race with the lowest threshold in the Pan Delta series, Circuit Hero-Three for 2017 was made a two-driver event -- racers were required to change in midstream. The new format led to partnership formations of male-male, male-female, and female-female.

Some duos took part in the longest race in the Pan Delta series for the first time, upholding the tradition of being self-challenging, according to Chen Xinzhong, general manager of ZIC.
It's been encouraging to see more female drivers in recent years as ZIC pursues the goal of providing tremendous family fun, said Chen. Organizers say they will promote the race as suitable for competition by an entire family, which is sure to entice more fans.
Among other races held were a Superbike competition and Formula Masters Series. There was also gourmet food on offer.
