4th China Helicopter Expo takes off in Tianjin

The 4th China Helicopter Expo co-hosted by the Tianjin Municipal People's Government, Aviation Industry Corporation of China, and China PLA Ground Force opened in Tianjin on Sept 14.

The expo is themed in "innovative integration, coordinated development". It offers a summit and air show, and is focused on domestic and overseas advanced helicopters, engines, airborne equipment, unmanned aerial vehicles, ground equipment, simulators and supporting services. Opportunities for business negotiations will abound, and a new products release meeting and signing ceremony will be on hand.

Ninety-eight choppers, 14 simulators, 15 plane models, 8 engines, 9 special vehicles and 4 intelligent robots are on display. Engines from the world's top six engine factories, France's airbus helicopter, Bell helicopters, Sikorsky aircraft from the US, Agustawestland craft from Italy and Russian and Chinese helicopters could well be expo highlights.

Twenty-eight pilots, seven Z-10 helicopters, three Z-19 helicopters, and one Z-8B helicopter from the PLA Ground Force will stage static displays and air shows and demonstrate support tasks.
