Ten branches of NTLNPA established

The establishment ceremony of the Jilin district branches of the Northeast Tiger Leopard National Park Authority (NTLNPA) was held in Hunchun, Jilin province on Sept 12.

The NTLNPA will eventually have ten branches, located in Jilin and Heilongjiang province.

Zhao Li, the director of the NTLNPA, went over the main tasks of the experiment in the tiger and leopard park during the ceremony, including the restoration of the ecological environment in Northeast China's tiger habitat and innovation of a management system.

Following the regulations pertaining to setting up of national parks, the Northeast Tiger Leopard National Park will be established before 2020. Its total area will reach 14,612 square kilometers, 71 percent of which will be in Jilin.
