Cui Shuangxing from Inner Mongolia took silver medal at the men’s 66kg Greco-Roman wrestling at the 13th National Games held at Tianjin University of Technology and Education on Sept 4.

During the final, Cui lost the championship with 3 points less than Zhang Gaoquan from Jiangsu province.

Mu Weucai, Saren Mandula and Wunei Bateer from Inner Mongolia failed to enter the top three competitions in varied weight levels of the men’s Greco-Roman wrestling.

There are two types of wrestling style in international games –– Greco-Roman and freestyle. Greco-Roman wrestling was contested at the first modern Olympic Games in 1896 and has been included in every edition of the summer Olympics held since 1908.

Two wrestlers win points for their performance in two three-minute periods, which can be terminated early by a pin or fall. This style of wrestling forbids holds below the waist, which is the major difference from freestyle wrestling.
