A reading room was set up at the central primary school in Shiwu town, Gongzhuling city on Sept 8.

Ranging from literature, science, painting to moral education, more than 1,300 books were donated by the Changchun Hatty Regency Hotel and China Population Welfare Foundation. In addition, the reading-room was also equipped with book shelves, desks, chairs and digital media players to create a perfect reading environment.

"This is the first time of us working with China Population Welfare Foundation, we look forward to continuing our partnership to spread out more extensive collaborations", said Qiu Shuwen, manager of the Changchun Hatty Regency Hotel.

Themed "The reading-room in my mind", students drew pictures with the volunteers and teachers. They also labeled and numbered the books.
