Yunzhou-Tech honored for unmanned ship controls

Technologies developed by Zhuhai Yunzhou Intelligence Technology Ltd (Yunzhou-Tech) to control unmanned ships recently was awarded special prize by the Ocean Science & Technology Award of the State Oceanic Administration.

The Ocean Science & Technology Award encourages advancement in the domestic marine industry. The Chinese Society of Oceanography, Pacific Society of China, and Chinese Society for Oceanology & Limnology cofounded the award.

Located in the Zhuhai National Hi-Tech Industrial Development Zone (Tangjiawan), Yunzhou-Tech is a domestically leading R&D enterprise and supplier of civil Unmanned Surface Vessels (USVs).

Since 2012, the company has concentrated on technology research and product development of marine intelligent USV platforms, and has launched several updates including a marine high-speed and stealth marine measuring USV.

In 2015, Yunzhou-Tech and the South China Sea Marine Engineering Survey Center established a joint laboratory to investigate island reefs in the South China Sea. They cooperate in technology R&D, experimental testing, marine surveys, and on other aspects.

Meanwhile, mature technology applications in offshore environmental emergency investigations for national major accidents, offshore marine environmental monitoring, and marine mapping for provinces and cities have won praise from the Ministry of Environmental Protection and State Oceanic Administration.

It is a great honor given to a private enterprise, which represents high-level approval for our endeavors to support the national marine strategy, said a company executive.
