More than 1,200 to attend 9th High-level Forum

With a theme of "Stimulating the development of northeast Asia area through facilitating investment and trade liberation",the 9th High-level Forum will be held on Sept 1 in Changchun, capital of Jilin province.

"It is estimated that the forum will attract more than 1,200 participants and one third of the attendees will be from aboard," said a member of the organizing committee of the 11th China-Northeast Asia Expo.

Li Futai, a member of the expo's organizing committee said, "The forum has received applications since the beginning of this year, including from northeast Asian countries."   

Li also added that after eight years' efforts, the forum now plays a more significant role in the development of the expo.

With the support of the Ministry of Commerce, northeast Asian countries responded positively. Countries like Japan, Korean and Mongolia have confirmed the participation of their senior officials from economic and trade departments.

In addition, the former president of Croatia and former vice president of Zambia, and senior officials from the Ministry of Commerce, the National Development and Reform Commission and the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade will be in attendance at the forum.
