WarmCar seeks to connect Zhuhai tourist attractions

Electric car rental provider WarmCar signed a strategic cooperation agreement with New Yuanming Palace Lost City Water Park on June 23 to launch an "All-for-One Tourism" experience model.

With an increasing number of tourist attractions, business districts, and hotels participating in the project, local residents and tourists are encouraged to travel between scenic spots in WarmCar shared-use vehicles.

Operated by Guangdong Southern Intelligent Transportation Co Ltd, Zhuhai-based WarmCar is a rental platform for electric cars that started providing service last December. The company’s entire fleet is made up of new-energy cars, which are environmental-friendly, zero-emission vehicles.

A WarmCar can be rented simply by downloading the company’s mobile app. The rental costs 0.15 yuan (2 cents) per minute plus 0.8 yuan (12 cents) for every kilometer traveled. The vehicles can be rented from and returned to any of WarmCar’s 45 points.

WarmCar is experiencing rapid growth and currently operates 126 vehicles. The cars are available in Xiangzhou and Gongbei of downtown Zhuhai and urban areas of Jinwan District.

The company expects its fleet to expand to 550 vehicles by the end of this year with the number of rental points increasing to 260.

In addition to its deal with New Yuanming Palace Lost City Water Park, WarmCar will also solicit more scenic spots, business areas, hotels, and property management companies with parking lots citywide.
