COOEC Fluor Heavy Industry Co recently undertook the building of a massive 80,000 total tons project in the Gaolan Port Economic Zone. China Offshore Oil Engineering Corp, a subsidiary of China National Offshore Oil Corp (CNOOC), and Fluor own, operate and manage the Zhuhai Fabrication Yard there.
Called the KIPIC ZOR Module general assembly project, produced will be 159 pipe galleries and 29 process modules for a world-class oil refining factory built by Kuwait National Petroleum Co, one of the world's top refiners.
COOEC Fluor Heavy Industries Co was formed in August 2015. Its Zhuhai Fabrication Yard is a world-class, state-of-the-art facility designed to provide very large modules for offshore clients in the Asia Pacific region and globally. Originally, it could accommodate fabrication modules weighing more than 50,000 tons.

This is the first large-scale international engineering project for COOEC-Fluor, and also the largest order at the Zhuhai site, according to a company executive. Smooth implementation will further expand the company's international market share and lead to leapfrog development.
In the eyes of world-leading oceanographic engineering industrial standards, COOEC-Fluor Heavy Industry Co is oriented for international markets with high-level modern bases of product manufacture, general assembly, underwater assembly and checkout, and deep-water installation fleet support.
