Green energy efforts pay off for 3 Gaolan Port firms

Gaolan Port has achieved new status in improving the "Made in China" image to one of ecologically clean and green industry.

This is shown by the recent entry of three port companies on the list of 2017 National Green Manufacturing System Integration Projects issued by the Ministry of Industry & Information Technology of China.

Gaolan Port's marine engineering equipment green supply chain of COOEC Fluor Heavy Industries Co Ltd, marine communication equipment industrialization of green key manufacturing integration by FiberHome Marine Network Communication Equipment, and cellulose fiber green key process system of Zhuhai Cellulose Fibers Co Ltd have made the grade.

By 2020, green development is to become China’s general requirement for all industries, promotion mechanism for industrial green conversion, engine for economic growth, and advantage in international competition.

Twenty-seven manufacturing integration system projects in Guangdong had applied to be listed while all three Gaolan Port standing projects were accepted and are now entitled to dedicated national financial assistance.

In related news, the Shijiazhuang branch of Gree Electric Appliances Inc of Zhuhai has also been cited for its green supply chain system integration for commercial and bus air conditioning.

National plans call for green manufacturing system should be integrated in terms of design platforms, breakthroughs of craftsmanship, and formulation of supply chain systems. Priority is placed on machinery, electronics, chemical engineering, foodstuff, textiles, household appliances, and large-sized complete-set equipment to boost green upgrades and foster competitiveness in manufacturing.
