A delegation from Guangdong visited Israel from June 6 to 7, hoping to strengthen economic ties.
Led by Hu Chunhua, chief of Guangdong Provincial CPC Committee, the delegation attended the Guangdong-Israel Economic and Trade Cooperation Meeting held in Tel Aviv on June 7 and witnessed the signing of 21 agreements worth $1.47 billion.

"Guangdong hopes to cooperate with Israel to facilitate technology, innovation and trade along the Belt and Road as well as boosting friendship between the two sides," said Hu at the meeting.
Hu also met Prime Minister of Israel Benjamin Netanyahu to implement the consensus made by the leaders of China and Israel and expand exchanges in different fields on different levels.
"Israel is willing to see more cooperation with Guangdong province and China as well to make progress in business, trade, technology and medical services," Netanyahu said.
Chinese Ambassador to Israel Zhan Yongxin and Guangzhou Mayor Wen Guohui also attended the meetings.
