Formerly the Zhuhai Big Wave Bay Agnsana Hotel & Resort, the Bayan project is jointly invested by Supreme Glory Investments Ltd founded by Macao businessman Chan Meng Kam, and Zhuhai Urban Huihuang Investment. Priced at 1.2 billion yuan ($176.4 million), the facility will be operated by Banyan Tree Holdings Ltd.
Under the design philosophy of "a natural village by the seaside," the hotel will preserve the original landscape of the hillside and century-old trees, with a 4,667-sq-m pond west of the entrance. Furthermore, a 3,000-sq-m swimming pool will be located on the first floor, forming a unique canal swimming pool. Also, staff members from Bangkok will be employed to provide customers authentic Thai Spa services.

In addition to Banyan Tree, the four-star-equivalent business-oriented Tangyi Hotel is currently under construction and will enter trial operation at around Spring Festival 2018.
According to the urban plan, another new hotel will also be constructed near Lakewood Golf Club. Furthermore, Zhuhai International Circuit (ZIC) includes a race-themed high-end hotel. ZIC also has plans for more facilities to meet the demands of tourists from South China and even across the country.
In addition to luxury hotels, the Zhuhai High-Tech Industrial Development Zone has also made plans for new business complexes. An 83,000-sq-m commercial complex encompassing hotel and technical exchange center will be located at the intersection of Gangwan and Jinfeng roads. If everything goes well, work will begin by the end of this year.
Meanwhile, a new business complex and industrial park will be constructed in Tangjiawan No1 Industrial Zone.
