Dr Jing Jianping has become the 14th innovation and entrepreneurship project initiator under the "Thousand Talents Plan" in the Macao-Hengqin Youth Entrepreneurship Valley (Inno Valley) since the first such expert, Bao Xueyuan, arrived last August.
Jing heads up a project called "R&D and industrialization of vehicle-mounted motor intelligent manufacturing and assembly lines."

Jing came from Japan to seek funding at a targeted investment and financing conference in Inno Valley on May 24. During the conference, his project impressed investors, who raised questions concerning such a production line’s advantages, ways for the R&D team to settle, scale of financing, transfer of equity, financing entity, and customer markets.

Based on a trial test in the capital market and his recognition of Hengqin’s talent resources, comprehensive services, and positioning as a pilot free trade zone, Jing filed his intent to settle there that evening.
According to Jing, his team’s production line will improve efficiency by 30 percent to 40 percent compared with existing technologies. He said his choice of Hengqin shows his confidence in China’s intelligent manufacturing market, the Southeast Asian potential, and beyond.
In accordance to the Trial Measures for the Administration of China (Guangdong) Pilot Free Trade Zone Hengqin Section, experts under "Thousand Talents Plan" and leading academician teams of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Chinese Academy of Engineering can obtain financial support of 2 million yuan ($293,315) and 5 million yuan ($733,288) respectively for startups in Hengqin.
