Changchun New Area includes Changchun Beihu Science and Technology Development Zone, Changchun Airport Economic Development Zone, Changde Economic Development Zone and Changchun High-tech Industry Development Zone.

The area plans to build a traditional industry transformation demonstration zone including an automobile and parts industry park, pharmaceutical industry park, optical mechanical and electrical industry park and creative and software industry park.

In 2020, it will be built into a harmonious modern new district combining high technological and creative industries.
