New waterway span to further unite West Wing

Jitimen Grand, the first bridge to connect Jinwan and Doumen districts, has been approved by the city Housing & Urban-Rural Planning & Construction Bureau.

As a major infrastructure project on Shuanghu Road in the West Wing, the north-south bridge will span the Jitimen Waterway. It will run north of Qianwu and extend to south of the Xiaolin Reclamation Dam.

Designed as an urban arterial road, the bridge will span 1.21 km with a design speed of 60 kmph. The asphalt-surface plan calls for dual six lanes with space for streetcars in the long term.
