Jilin welcomes international friends

The interview event entitled "Jilin Through the Eyes of Overseas Chinese Media" opened on May 25 in Changchun, Jilin province.

In the following four days, journalists from more than 30 overseas Chinese media outlets will visit various places in Jilin, learn about the development of the province, and tell Jilin's stories from their perspective.

During the launch ceremony, Wang Xiaoping, minister of the Provincial Party Committee Propaganda Department, mentioned that Jilin has a solid industrial foundation and a unique culture, both of which are worthy of international recognition.

Sui Zhongcheng, vice governor of Jilin province, also said he hoped participatants of the activity could know more about the modern agriculture, natural resources, and innovative industries in the province.

The activity is sponsored by the People's Government of Jilin Province and the Foreign and Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the province.

Also represented at the event were officials from the Central Government, reporters for overseas Chinese media outlets, and foreigners who care about Jilin's development.
